GMZ Ship Management, a proud member of MMC Group Holding, and together dedicated to the IMO 2030 Blue Economy targets.Of course, GMZ commits to supporting and investing in sustainable maritime renewable energy projects. By endorsing the LEMURIA project, the company reinforces its dedication to decarbonization.
LEMURIA represents an ecological initiative created by Beirut International Marine Industry and Commerce. It is a Lebanon-based company that specializes in floating islands and fiberglass houses. This initiative aims to foster a greener future while addressing current environmental challenges.
LEMURIA is a floating energy and transportation infrastructure designed to convert seawater into green hydrogen. And it will fuel the next generation of vessels navigating the world’s shipping lanes.
Essentially, LEMURIA serves as a floating hydrogen station anchored at sea, significantly reducing ships’ emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. The first phase of the project, FHP-III aquaculture and energy, will launch in six months.
With approval from several marine classification societies, LEMURIA will transform the maritime industry. Moreover, it will provide all navigating vessels with green fuel, thereby promoting sustainability.
This will be achieved through the establishment of futuristic floating supply units positioned along key maritime trade routes.
Furthermore, GMZ Ship Management is partnering with MMC Group Holding and Beirut International Marine Industry and Commerce. Together, they are forming a consortium of reputable companies specializing in green energy and marine engineering. This collaboration aims to bring the LEMURIA project to life in Greece.
